How can I ensure that coverage for my full-time student age 19 or older does not lapse between terms?

To have coverage between terms, your child must be enrolled for the next quarter or semester and continue to be claimed as a dependent on a parent’s taxes. To prevent your child’s coverage from lapsing between quarters or semesters, update the Trust records as soon as you enroll your child for a new term. You can do this by emailing or by calling the Eligibility department at (206) 282-4500 or (800) 225-7620.

What should I do if I do not have my ID card yet?

You should have your Sound Health & Wellness Retiree Trust ID within 3 weeks of when you first become eligible for benefits. If you have been eligible for more than 3 weeks and you have not received your ID card in the mail, please call us at (206) 282-4500 or (800) 225-7620. You can also log into and print your ID card.

What do I do if my address changes, if I get married, divorced, have a child or adopt a child?

If you need to change your address, phone number, or email address to go to MySoundHealth. If you have changes to your family coverage, call the Trust at (206) 282-4500 or (800) 225-7620.

How do I file a claim or appeal?

If you wish to file a claim for medical benefits or if you are dissatisfied with an eligibility determination, benefit denial, or partial benefit award or any other adverse benefit determination by the Trust, you must follow the appropriate procedures. Click on the link below for all the details. Call the Trust at (206) 282-4500 or (800) 225-7620 with any questions.
